It’s been 101 years since the Blue Event wiped out 99% of all life on Earth. 101 years since and elite group of politicians and business people, predicting the Event, retreated underground and waited for everything on the surface to be destroyed. No one could have predicted the resilience of humankind. No one could have predicted that among the most vulnerable of the old world, the vagabonds and the rejects of society, would be the survivors. Not only survivors, but founders of a new world, the Wandrland.
The year is 2193, and the descendents of those survivors are at war with the Darwin-worshipping, elitist Ascendents who came up from under the ground. Resources are sparse, and the Ascendents have the advantage of old world technology. The people of the Wandrland grow increasingly desperate and afraid, but remain hopeful under the rule of the formidable Wulf, a brutal Warlord who prides himself on his ability to kill Ascendants and their malformed cyborg weapons, the Chewers.
But time is running out for Wulf. The Chapel, Ascendants’ leading body, is pursuing him. The Ascendents’ cyborg technology is improving fast, threatening the borders of Wulf’s land. And a voice in Wulf’s head, affectionately dubbed “Big Daddy”, urges Wulf to storm the Ascendant city and take the source of all their power. But, there’s a catch. Wulf doesn’t know what it is he’s looking for. All he knows is he needs to find it, and fast.
Then, an unlikely visitor crosses his path. WarChild, a killer cyborg, preserved for 101 years in a block of ice, passes through the Wandrland. She’s the perfect weapon, almost impossible to destroy and the only hope Wulf has of defeating the Ascendants. There’s just one problem…
Her mission is to kill him.
